There are a lot of upsetting things going on in the world today. I don't think I need to list them all, and truly while some are collective, others are quite unique to the individual.
But how do you really maintain a real sense of self wellness when everything feels so hard?
Allow for quality time with yourself
Too busy?
How much time do you spend on your phone during the day? This is a judgment- free zone, but really think about it! Even if it's just 5 minutes—take that time to be kind to yourself. Take a bath, go for a walk, meditate, do an at home facial, read a good book, color—the possibilities are endless!
Feel your feelings
Let yourself feel anger, pain, frustration, but don't judge yourself for feeling happy, content, joyfrul or peaceful either. As long as you're careful to be kind and respectful to others, just let it all come in and flow naturally. Get curious about these emotions.
All of them are valid.
Spend time with people you care about
Collectively, this is a great idea. Lean on each other. Talk about your concerns—or don't. We're all in this together. Not to mention the incredible shift in mental state you obtain just by surrounding yourself with people you love.
Enjoy time in nature
We are nature.
Sometimes we forget just how connected we all are to this planet. Remind yourself. Take a walk, walk in the grass barefoot, meditate with the wind in your hair, hell—talk to a tree. They're great listeners and they don't complain much either.
Seek support
At the end of the day, there's certain things that we just can't handle on our own, nor should we. It doesn't make you weak to need professional guidance.
We ALL could use it. So reach out!
We offer life coaching, see if that service is right for you. Or maybe you'd prefer therapy or counseling or acupuncture or reiki.
Figure out what you need, and ask for help.
